PGA Championship Fever

So you may know that the PGA Championship is going on not far from our home.
My Dad took Big Daddy this week& all the boys have been talking about is GOLF!
We watch Tiger during the day.
We watch Tiger after dinner.
We watch Tiger highlights before church?!
I promise there is a point to this story...
After nap today the boys went out to golf. We have large lots in our subdivision so this is commonplace around here. Our neighbor is on the high school varsity golf team & has a course made between his yard & our friends' across the street. I digress, sorry. Listen, put Tiger fever together with our boys' athletic ability & you've got trouble!
While I'm sitting at the computer there is a loud BANG! Now when I say loud it was loud enough to make Big Daddy jump up & run outside to see who was hurt.
Well our lil' Tiger in Training II hit our dining room window with a golf ball!

It was interesting that our message in church today was on cause & effect in parenting. We were reminded from Gen 9 to not just look at the effect today, to keep looking for years. We may not see seeds we sow today until years from now. Big Daddy had a choice to ensure JuJu received his "affect" from "causing" the ball to hit the window. He also could ensure that JuJu learned that his golf talents were not the issue, it's hitting the golf ball towards a house that is the problem. Today I claimed favor for his athletic ability, I'm claiming we see a harvest from both boys' athleticism in a few years. Back to choices, Big Daddy is none to happy! This window is not made so that you can replace one side. The entire front window will have to be replaced?! We (by we I mean me) are trying to look on the bright side...one day JuJu will be able to pay for college by hitting a golf ball so well ; )

FYI... After dinner the boys went to the driving range to practice their golf swing.

  1. It's days like these that make memories (especially of how you handle the situation!)
