My Dad said he learned to swim when Gpa Bill took him out in the St. Lawrence River & threw him off the back of the boat. I said, Dad, he wasn't trying to teach you how to swim?! - J1

My dad would toss us in the water in the middle of the lake with no life jackets to "teach" us how to swim! I always hated that, but fortunately it didn't permanently scar me and cause any fear of water.
