I'm Moving On & Taking a Stand with Him

I received the following devo from my hubby today. God's timing is perfect.

My focus will not be distracted. I will not be sucked into the toxic cycle again. Sorry liar Satan you loose!

Joshua 7:13

"You cannot stand against your enemies until you remove it."

The Israelites lost 36 men and were humiliated in battle. Momentum was starting to reverse. God showed Joshua why and told Joshua he had to deal with the situation decisively. He had to deal with sin in the camp before God would give him victories over his enemies.

God wants to remind us to deal decisively with sin in our own life, to take action to move toward obedience and to move away from the status quo. It could be a habit, bitterness, arrogance, laziness, anger, etc., but we must decide to turn from it and start moving toward complete obedience in that area. It may take time but, we can't afford to give up. As a leader, we must also lovingly lead people toward obedience of God's principles and inspire by example.

Lord, I want to be used by You to accomplish Your purposes. I choose today to move away from the sin in my life and pursue obeying You.
