iMOM

I told you about iMOM a couple of months ago. It is a great program by Family First! You can go to their website & sign up for daily emails or check out articles by topic. Today's "Expresso Minute" was interesting & has me thinking, praying, examining my parenting choices!?

Parenting by personality type
You've probably heard a lot of about strong-willed children. (You may even be raising one or two!) But what about the unmotivated or more passive child? Each child's temperament holds both positive and negative qualities. While strong-willed children can sometimes be defiant and rebellious, they can also be determined, highly motivated and persistent, qualities that, when channeled correctly, can make them excellent leaders.

The unmotivated or passive child may be more cooperative, flexible and generally easier to get along with, but they may also lack the ability to stand up for themselves, make firm decisions, withstand temptations or see tasks through to completion.

In this week's Learn a Latte, iSpecialists Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller have some advice on identifying your child's personality type and what you can do as a parent to help create a harmonious and productive balance of their positive and negative traits
.

  4. Good stuff - amazing how different our little people are. Love languages and personalities - oh so complex. I'm sometimes overwhelmed with doing a good job for each of them. Prayer is the work in that area too!
