Don't Measure Me - I'm Short!

Thank you A for leading me to Focus on the Family today!
Girls go listen to the broadcast for today! It's only 22 mins long & will be time well spent!
Author Julie Barnhill is discussing hiding from who we really are as written in her book,
Embrace the Woman Behind the Mask.

Julie along w/Shelti Feldhauhn explain how many women wear a "mask" by struggling to keep up the appearance of being a good wife, mother and churchgoer.
"For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." 2 Cor 11:13-14
We measure each other up.We operate from a belief that some people are more valuable than others to God. From this perspective, I fall short every time (and not just in height), it's what I'm putting on you. So not healthy! We are all battling this belief & it's just not true.
They discuss how this is affecting our children. Self esteem is an issue today, so many times we go about building it from worldly perspective rather than a biblical one. Are we training our children to love conditionally? They give a great tip of giving your child a "Top to Toe Thanks".
Go check it out & tell me your thoughts!
